The centrifugal spray dryer utilizes a centrifugal atomizer to dry liquid materials and is widely used in industrial production. This process is ideal for liquid forming and drying, producing powdery and granular products from solutions, emulsions, and suspensions. It is the preferred technology when particle size distribution, residual moisture, and bulk density must meet specific standards.
Principle
Air passes through a filter and heater into the air distributor at the top of the dryer, entering in a uniform spiral. The feed liquid is pumped to the centrifugal atomizer, where it is sprayed into tiny droplets. These droplets contact hot air, causing water to evaporate rapidly. The finished product is discharged from the bottom of the drying tower and cyclone separator, while waste gas is exhausted via a fan.
