Edible oil refining is a critical set of processes necessary to turn vegetable raw oil into high-quality edible oil. Raw vegetable oil, obtained from seeds by pressing or solvent extraction, contains free fatty acids and components like phospholipids, waxes, and peroxides. These must be removed to eliminate undesirable flavor, odor, and appearance.
